Everything you need to set up and run a show on ShowRing Central — from creating your first event to publishing the program and handing out steward codes.
After logging in you land on your Dashboard — your home base for managing shows. At the top you'll see three counters: Shows, Rings, and Classes. Below that is your list of shows. Use the “Create Show” button (top right) to start a new event.
In the Secretary tab, add a Ring (e.g. Ring 1, Ring 2) then add Classes to each ring — class number, name, day, and order. You can also bulk-import a schedule. Drag or reorder classes within a ring to set the running order.
New shows start in Draft. On the show management page, click “Activate Show” to move it to Active. This unlocks the rings, classes, steward codes, and QR tools so you can start building the program. An Active show is still private — competitors cannot see it yet.
When your program is ready, click “Make Public”. This publishes the full program and live ring updates so competitors can view them via the show QR code. You can toggle back to “Make Private” at any time if you need to pause visibility.
The Show QR Code panel generates a link competitors scan to see the live program and ring updates on their phones. Download the QR as a PNG, print it for signage, or copy the link to share via email or social media.
Each ring has a unique Steward Code. Share it with that ring's steward — they enter it at the Steward Access page to control class status (start, finish, breaks, delays) and post ring announcements. We recommend each steward keeps a printed Steward QR code with them in the ring and stores the access code somewhere safe.
Use the Announcement panel to post show-wide messages (e.g. “Main arena briefing in 5 minutes”). Announcements appear live on the competitor view. Stewards can also post announcements scoped to their own ring.
The Team Chat panel is a private message feed between you, your stewards, and admin. Use it to coordinate on the day without leaving the dashboard.
Allocate an Announcer Code so your announcer can open the Announcer View — a read-only live feed of what's happening across all rings (current class, status, ring delays). The Announcer Access panel lets you generate and share that code.
When show day is over, click “Mark Complete”. The show moves to Completed status and drops off the active list. You can reactivate it later if needed (e.g. for a repeat annual event).
